GM Mode in WWE SVR 2007 PS2

After the introduction of GM Mode in WWE SVR 2006, this mode opened a whole new way of playing and experiencing a WWE game. Due to its superb introduction the expectation from the mode had reached new heights. Everyone was wondering what more could this mode has to offer in the next installment of the series that is WWE SVR 2007 PS2.

GM Mode in SVR 2007 was upgraded with new features such as Power 25, Clean & Dirty, Story Writers, Heat & Velocity, etc. but still these up-gradation didn't meet the expectation which GM Mode 2006 had left in the minds of the players. Even with very little up-gradation in the mode game is still playable, but the lasting appeal has diminished.

Lets Take a Look on GM Mode in WWE SVR 2007

Review:-
Mostly this year's GM Mode is similar to last year game, in fact last year GM Mode is still better. This year GM Mode is not completely lousy its still playable and also has new upgraded features such as:-

Power 25:-
In this superstars of both brands are ranked from 1-25 at the beginning of the Mode. Starting from the World Heavy Weight Champion or WWE Championt moving to U.S. Champion or Intercontinental Champion, WWE Tag Team Champion or World Tag Team Champion, Cruise Weight Champion & so on. Superstars ranks in Power 25 changes as per their winnings or losing of matches irrespective weather the superstar is a Champion or Non Champion.

 Clean & Dirty:-
Superstars involved in rivalries must have one clean superstar and one dirty superstar otherwise rivalries won't start between them. Superstars must be defined as Clean or Dirty at the beginning of the GM Mode and players can only change them from 'Clean to Dirty' or 'Dirty to Clean' by running a promo in the show.

Writers:-
This time players must hire Writers to write a story for the rivalry, actually there is a list of stories to choose from, every story has a price and predefined stars. Player must buy them in order to get good rating to the show. In my opinion this is just for name sake it does not have a huge impact in the playing of the Mode.

Heat & Velocity:-
These are two bonus shows for each brand for superstars with low popularity levels. Setting-up Matches for these shows are optional as ratings of these show doesn't have any impact on the ratings of the main show.

Summary:-
Overall it has some new features which will at first impress players, but soon some players will realize that with their introduction players have lost some of the GM powers which they had in earlier game.

Pro's:-
  •  Cut scenes at the end of the WWE Calendar Year in which Vince Mc Mahan gives the 'GM of the Year  Trophy' to the GM of the winning Brand.
  • Updated Roster.
Con's:-
  • There is only one cut scene in the mode which really not enough for the mode, if the game had more cut-scenes than this game would keep the players engaged for more time.
  • GM cannot put Championship Title on the line with superstars not in the top 5 ranks of Power 25.
  • Morale level of the superstars who are not in the Power 25 also get affected due to not getting chance of the Title Shot. In this GM cannot help that Superstar.
  • Computer GM Brand Superstars Fatigue Level is unaffected even after participating in big matches like 'HELL IN A CELL', ' LAST MAN STANDING', 'IRON MAN MATCH', etc.
